Disability:IN Chicagoland Hosts Discussion on Tools to Mitigate Stress & Promote Workplace Mental Health

The event entitled, Tools to Mitigate Stress and Promote Mental Health in the Workplace,featured presentations from Disability:IN Chicagoland partners Erica Gliege, Senior Analyst, Total Rewards at Horizon Pharma and Kaiti Buehring, Good Life Senior Consultant at Allstate. Erica and Kaiti both shared tools and best practices that their organizations use to support employee mental health and manage the adverse impact of stress in the corporate environment. Participants then joined in round table discussions on topics like: tools to engage managers and employees in mental health initiatives and wellness programs; opportunities to help employees cope during high stress periods; strategies to recognize stress-induced mental health conditions; and methods to obtain C-Suite buy-in on implementing mental health initiatives. The candid discussion among leading Chicago-area businesses, demonstrated the power of peer listening and learning, to collaboratively address workplace mental health. More details and photos from the event can be found online here.
