On Thursday, March 25th more than 100 participants registered for an hourlong online discussion on the Intersectionality of Employee/Business Resource Groups. Disability:IN Greater Kansas City hosted the session which featured a conversation among four E/BRG leaders from different businesses including two from Grant Thornton in Chicago – Laura Isaacs, Executive Committee Diverse Abilities & Allies BRG and Karina Sanchez, Senior Diversity & Inclusion Associate. The discussion focused on how successful companies are working to understand the diverse and multifaceted identities of their employees. Speakers shared their own experiences in leading E/BRGs and offered best practices for these groups to play a role in supporting a diverse workplace including recruitment, retention, talent identification and advancement.
